Raise Your Voice is a unique community project for people living with dementia and their carers.
What is Raise Your Voice?
Founded in 2008 by Glyndebourne Opera and the Alzheimer’s Society and now an independent charity, RYV welcomes people with dementia to participate with a friend, family member, or carer. Led by passionate musicians, Jane Haughton (former Royal Opera House Chorus singer) and Nancy Cooley (concert pianist and coach), sessions combine singing, listening, art, and drama to create a comforting, immersive, and joyful experience.

“To improve the quality of life for those living with dementia, and their carers, through active participation in a joyous programme of music making and creation.”
Capacity: Sessions are capped at 32 participants to allow personalised support.
Themes: Music includes opera, musicals, folk, and popular songs, as well as pieces created by participants.
